This body of work shows a concern with physical elements and their inherent nature to interact or change over time. The process of one material or energy acting on another actualizes the change. There is a kind of beauty in absence as manifested in the decomposing of the materials and the interacting with organic life around it, a reminder of the original state of all materials. Our perceptions are encouraged to drift into an awareness of the processes taking place, and as we do we recognize a purity and simplicity that has an intensely poetic quality to its nature. | |
